May I start this discussion with a quote by Robert Beverly Hale ?
Quote " Of course, if there were no light, there would be no shade or shadow: nothing for us to see, nothing to draw. It is only when light plays upon an object that we can see the form emerging...." unquote
Thanks Gautam that Quote was just in the back round of my last installation " Only What's Lit Can Be Seen".. The installation involved reused Milk/Fruits containers as Candelles Lantans + video projection + music.
You know what I'd like to do? Make a carving, kind of Polynesian style on the ceiling. And then, have multicoloured lights move on some kind of kinetic program and create different shadows around the room- kind of like temporary tatoos. The idea of a tatoo on the skin of the room fascinates me for some reason. (Staff that my kids do always make me think about other possibilities as well ;)
