Hi Dot!

As declaration says this needs to be accepted by all of design faternity that lighting designers has a special role to play in any infrastructure.

I always corelate a artist with a lighting designer. A Artist sketches all its imaginations and ideas in a canvas where as a lighting designers percieves our surrounding as a canvas to creat beautiful scenes with light effect.

When it comes to security,safety, energy conservation & teast (choise varies with every indivisual), this jobs becomes more challenging for any prefessional designer to come out with a comprehensive solution.

More awareness among every indivisuals adds values to this field.

thanks for the partisipation Ashis. As an Architecture Lighting Design (with some... Theatre/dance past) Educator I find my talking with my students about the diferance between Lighting stage/event/artform. it can take time to shift the point of it to understanding Humen Perseption fron 2 to 3D and from the imagination world to the real life one..
dealing with Architecture Lighting Design is based on all aspects of Human needs as such.
