Another thing. The failure of man not following the need to protect our environment and natural resources, has as a result the depletion of the ozone layer and the gradual change, for the worst, of our climate.

Sorry. I made a mistake writing the following sentence. What I wrote: "What I think should be done is require architects to be more pro-protection of our environment and natural resources, and not name this need as a new condition when practicing ar…

IRGEORGE What came first? Obviously, the International GREEN Construction Code came last. I don't mind adding GREEN sections in current construction codes. What I question , and is my position, is that this GREEN movement will certainly preclude the…

The GREEN Construction Code. Why cant we push for legislation in every country in the world that simply require that every new structure be built with less and less use of natural resources that are slow or can not replace itself and more and more u…

How right you are! As I have always expressed, humanity must continuously look back if we want to learn and progress. Ancient civilizations, which we all admire and some are skeptics about their knowledge and still others can't find the answers to t…

Thank you very much, David. I'm honored in participating in this fun and instructional network. Your photos are magnificent. I love traveling and taking photographs of autoctonous artifacts, buildings, houses and people. I'll be writing again in the GREEN chat. This opportunity of reading different sides and opinions on this theme really makes you review what you know and make amendments. To be humble is to be wise.

15 gasoline tanks exploded and it took some 62 hours to extinguish the fire. Luckily, no one was injured. Apparently there was a leak in one of the tanks and the fumes reached a fluorescent lamp which provided the spark for the explosion. Other distribution gasoline centers around the island supplied the loss. But we all are thankful that nobody got hurt. Thanks for caring.

Dear Joe, thanks for your great comment on the steampunk blog - you're right, very good theme for a film (and I've been wanting one of those brass-pimped computers for some time!)
