About Me:
The best design challenges to me are the ones that appear impossible. It could be requiring a permanent bookstore to occupy the same space as a parking lot, or an open air farmers market where a building needs to sit. Whatever the puzzle, figuring out how to make it work is my passion.

I love working with clients to realize their vision, whether it is a real estate development or a hat rack made of trash. While working in award winning offices early in my career, it was clear that every design solution should be as unique as the requirements, context, and client that drove it. With Vertu Studio, I'm taking that understanding and my love of seemingly impossible challenges to facilitate clients' visions.

My belief in the importance of designing and creating with the environment and future generations in mind guides me in all my endeavors, from utilizing reclaimed waste and materials, to developing a revolutionary new bench for public spaces, to LEED consulting with the general contractor on major public works projects.

My project experiences include schools, university buildings, museums, homes, offices, and more. A passion for design has led to professional contacts at universities including MIT and USC, seats on final juries at the Art Center College of Design, Roger Williams University, and the Boston Architectural Center, as well as publication and invitations to speak. I also serve on the design team of Opportunity Green, a green business conference held each November at UCLA.

Thanks for your reply, Jenda (and apologies for my somewhat belated response). I definitely like to view buildings as species within an ecosystem, and enjoyed your essay on the subject.

I haven't heard about programs you mentioned(maybe they are not so popular in my country), but I'll search for it. At my university they are organizing some additional courses of 3d studio max, when the firs begun I didn't had time because it was in the end of the year, but I hope they would repeat it... Thank for advice :)

Maybe it's dying skill but I believe it's really helpful. It's funny when you did even a bad project but with beautiful drawings you could have good marks... I think everybody likes it just because they are not patient enough to draw like that, and in my opinion lots of people are using too much 3d programs which narrows their imagination... (Or maybe I just say so because I'm still very good at modelling :P I've got to learn 3dmax or something similar at least...)

This raises a great question about what it means to be modern. Technically, modern refers to a long past era, with a fairly strict definition which includes the absence of 'decadent decorum'. However, by popular usage, modern applies to what is new,…

4 modules can be arranged into any configuration and length of bench, with or without a backrest, and either straight or curved. The design allows the aluminum to flex under you, comforting you unlike any other metal bench.
