Books:
Sir Maurice Bowra: The Greek Experience, also in its Spanish translation by Alfonso Reyes: La aventura griega. By the way, the European Middle Ages deserve a re-evaluation, because they were not so "dark" as many historians want us to believe. For starters in this matter, there is the new book by Sylvain Gouguenheim: Aristote au Mont-Saint-Michel: Les racines grecques de l'Europe Chrétienne.
Music:
I even "design" my own music, as you can see from my string quartets included.

About the Archaeological Dig at Beth Shean/Scythopolis

The archaeological dig at Beth Shean/Scythópolis was run by the Israel Antiquities Authority and the Hebrew University of Jerusalem. I worked under professors Yoram Tsafrir and Gideon Foerster of the Institute of Archaeology of the Hebrew University of Jerusalem from 1987 until 1996.
The Roman-Byzantine city of Scythópolis, member of the Decápolis or League of Ten Cities, as a counterpart to Gerash/Gerasa, which also belonged to it, seen as the archaeological site at today's Bet Shean of the only city of the Decápolis west of the Jordan river until its destruction by an earthquake in 749 C. E.
The photos were taken in summer 1995.

So I kindly ask you to indicate me a way to upload…

Gustavo was indeed a great friend, whom I got to know as a work companion in the Monuments Office in Mexico City. I admired his drawing style, his engravings, his sense of humor and his qualities as a human being. I was still able to have met him in February last year on occasion of the… Continue
