Thanks Michael :-) I moved here from the UK 12 years ago and saw all these 'expats' sitting in their Euro style bungalows/villas, with all their doors and windows closed to keep the air con cool air IN! In the UK we have to do it as it's so cold there most of the time. I thought, 'this is madness and not for me'. The fact that my utility bill is a fraction of those of me neighbours helps as well of course ...

I live on Phuket, Thailand and had a well known British Architect here design a house for me which did not require air con. It's a lovely cool space, and rather like living in a sculpture.
