What would you tell somebody who says: architecture is the most important line of cultural evolution. The human body has conserved events of this line and the human brain has stored important parts of this process. Unfortunately the architects do no…

Dear Nold, I don’t dispute your stand on architecture; I rather elaborate on it. In our – yours and mine – responses our cultural differences become evident, which is a welcome sign. I have been going through several different Pages on this site. Th…

BALI DANCER LEARNS FROM DEITY

Bali dancer learns to dance from rice deity by "Polar Analogy". Mediating principle: 'PRO-portion' or 'categorical polarity' (like YinYang). Was the pre-analytical world in this way aesthetic? See: Heraclitus! See Greek 'hen kai pan'! (All-is-One-World)

Regarding Peter Zumthor's Sain Benedict Chapel (Photos by Douglas Lima)

Regarding Peter Zumthor's Saint Benedict Chapel: I really can't relate to this. From outside it looks like a fodder silo of a farmhouse. No window except under the roof! The floor is about 6 meters in the air hanging within the tower, elevator feeling, prisoner atmosphere! Entrance glued on the side, not the least logics in regard to the access-place scheme so important for sacred layouts*. The whole concept shows the architectonically miserable "whatever crazy design: main thing it makes us fam… Continue

Its main point: Human space is not the same like the space concept of physics, astronomy and the universe. The Human concept of space looks back on a long historical or anthropological evolution and it is not homogeneous like universal space, but functions according to human conditions, movement and rest, or… Continue

Hello Nold, how are you? I appreciate your contributions to the network. Are you engaged in further research at the moment? I have been travelling a lot (so I'm somewhat erratic here) and writing a manifesto on the spatial dynamics of political power.
