Though I'm a bit late to the party J let me note out.... 3D max is good, especially in combination with v-ray. However, I doubt that it's a convenient tool for an architect. Indeed, 3D max is a 3D modeling software that is a perfect choice when you…

In my experiance, while the amount of construction/ design work has dropped (due to the economy)...I don't think there has been disproportionate drop in 3d work. I suspect architects and developers have become used to using 3d renderings and conside…

Hi Olga, belated thanks for your comment on Walkability (or lack thereof) in Thailand! Completely maddening to be relegated to a non-person, isn’t it? I remember actually taking a taxi just to cross the street sometimes, because I didn’t dare do it on foot.

Hi Olga! i am sorry for late responce to your comment. with reference to ur query about lighting effect out come prior to implementation. There are various lighting design softwares which actually can give you the correct design outcome (3D render) using the actual luminaire IES data.

Other than this a well experienced lighting designer can take the help of 3D animation/photoshop software to design the effect considering the luminaire's light distribution and surrounding building materials color and texture. Most of the photographs in my gallery show the designed look using lighting design software.

U will be happy to know that for one of my hotel project i am creating this marriott's marco island hotel lighting effect for the front facade.
will post you the image once that get completed.
