About Me:
Hey! I come from India, of the First World India, of ruling minority, where I bought hopeless British-made higher education (Architecture); of the Third World India, of peasants and workers, the displaced and marginalized, where I was born, brought up and given Life-Supporting skills (un-recognised by the State); and of the Fourth World India, of the aborigine communities, where I was Initiated, without rites or rituals, in the most ancient discipline of (un-named) SRISHTIYOGA - the Way of Nature, of Humans, Plants and Animals – where Each Moment a Liberation Moment. VIVA!
(PS: I named 'it' SRISHTIYOGA because of my civilized habits.)
#
When, in the '60s, my friends, classmates, colleagues were leaving for UK, US, EU etc, it was a Great Exodus from my tiny world. I took to travelling, going in search of the beginnings – before civilised societies – i.e. aborigines in hills & forests at home.

Passionately I taste LIFE; but I put to test the Lifestyles, push them to critical minimal levels of Existence: While others do exactly the opposite.

All are Architects

A story of a toppled van in the US

Once in the staff room of an architectural college a senior professor was narrating a story about how American people are scientific-minded. He had been a visiting professor here in India and in the US for a number of years. He taught building services. The story happened in the late the eighties in an American town while he was staying there, at a town in Minnesota State.

One morning the citizens found, to their surprise, which a milk van was…

The Idea of New Town: Navi Mumbai (POEM)

(Poem written on 23-02-1997: I was writings a review of a workshop, "The Idea of New Town, Looking at Navi Mumbai" (earlier New Bombay). While writings it I was stuck for many reasons.
