On the vicinity of Agrigento we stayed at the Frattoria Mosé, a 200 years old organic farm that contrast with the architecture found in the surroundings.
Chiara with the help of her mom Helena run this charming Agriturismo accommodations situated in the middle of tasteless architecture built around the Valley of Temples, that contrast with the beauty of the traditional buildings and grounds of the farm.
The structures of the farm are organized around three courtyards and sits on the top of the property overlooking the olive orchard and plantations from a series of terraces protected from the sun by shaded pergolas.

On our first night we joined our hosts for dinner enjoying Ernesto’s fish, almonds, cauliflower, couscous with tuna, sun dried tomatoes pâté, potatoes and salad tossed with their signature pressed virgin olive oil produced from trees way older than the architecture of the farm.

As we plan our departure a day late in direction to the area of Marsala I have no doubt that Chiara’s Oasis will be remembered equally as the Doric Temples of the Valley.
