There is something catchy about this green roof. It's something reminiscent of a project of mine from my studio days. As a strong believer in merging site and building, I had to take a second look at the School of Art, Design & Media at Nanyang Technological University campus, Singapore.

The two arms embrace the landscape and they emerge from the earth to create grassy public space in an unexpected place. However, the courtyard in between seems closed off. To fight this the designers have added a myriad of features: water, palm trees, islands, ect. I would love to see a building like this engage in an existing site in a way that it would be minimally altered.
How about some close ups of the curtain wall and interior shots? Next time I'm in Singapore

the project looks good. The idea i find very fine, but there is to much glass.

What a wonderful design! Our new Parliament House in Canberra has a grassed roof where peple can walk on- great metaphore!

I like this project a lot.
Not so much about the fact that the roofs are "planted", but that they are the color "green".
What I find masterful here is the intersection of curves, as said in momeld's description, but especially their accentuation by the reflection in the glass curtain wall.
For ref purposes, postit : find the l'Oreal HQ designed by my ex-employers V&P ... maybe
Hmm, and LOL about "sneakin' in " Max ;P

What a wonderful concept. I wish they'd build something like that when they finally replace the hideous City Hall Plaza in Boston.
