Introduction to Profile Pages
When you join MyarchN, you get your own profile page. This is your space to share information about yourself, connect with other members, and show off your content.
Your profile page comes with your very own blog, which could be used to share your knowledge and opinions about anything that is related to the subject of architecture, let us know about yourself and gain a following. Your profile page also has a text box, a versatile feature where you can add widgets, embed videos and insert links to other websites. The image below shows the Box Files widget, that when added to the text box, sharing those documents important to you become available right on your page for printing, download, and be viewed. (you need a free
Box account to create the widget)

It's easy to access your profile page — just click the "My Page" tab on your social network. Read on to learn about customizing your profile page and making it your own:
Change the layout of your profile page You can move features around your profile page to personalize your space. To do so, click on "My Page". Then put your mouse on the title bar of the module you would like to move. If it can be moved, a small cross hair icon will appear to the left. Now just click and drag the module to the desired spot.
Certain things on your profile page cannot be moved. This included your profile photo, basic information, and the My Friends box on the left column of the page. Additionally, it's not possible to drag anything to or from the right column. This keeps things simple and easy to navigate across the social network.
Customize your profile page's theme By default, your profile page automatically takes MyarchN's theme and appearance settings but you are free to change the theme and appearance of your own profile page. To change your theme, go to your profile page and click the "Change Theme" link underneath your profile photo.
You'll be taken to an Appearances page just for your profile. In the top portion of the page, you can browse through the themes currently available and test them out on your profile page.
You can further customize your page's appearance by changing the font and colors of the theme you've chosen. Select the theme you'd like to customize and scroll to the "Now, make it unique" section of the page.
To make additional changes to your page's appearance, you can add your own CSS, or Cascading Style Sheets. With CSS, you can make changes to your page's appearance that aren't available in the built-in theme settings page. If you're interested in learning more about CSS to customize your page, we recommend checking out
W3C's CSS section and downloading
Firebug to experiment.
Control how content displays on your profile page You have control over which photos, videos, blog posts and forum threads appear on your profile page, and how many of each appear. To customize these settings, go to your profile page and click the "Edit" button in the header of the feature you want to modify. From here, you'll see various display options:
If you want to hide a feature completely, just choose "0 rows" in the "Show" field. Make your selections and then click "Save" to see how it looks!
Update your profile on the network To change any of your profile information on a social network, sign in and click the "Settings" link in the upper right corner of the page.
From this page, you can update your profile information in multiple ways. You can
update your name, change your
email address or
password, correct your location or age, and
update your photo. You can also view and change the address of your profile page and the email address you can send photos and videos to from your mobile device.
Control the privacy settings of your profile page By default, anyone can view your profile page and list of friends on a public social network. However, you can change the privacy level if you'd like at any time. You can set your profile to be visible to everyone (the default), to only members of the social network, or to just your friends on the social network. To change the privacy of your profile page, click on the "Settings" link in the right column of the page and head to the Privacy page. Choose the level of privacy you'd like from the first question on this page.
By default, all photos, videos, and blog posts you add to the social network will still be visible to everyone. You can also choose the privacy level of the content you add to the social network from this page.
If you've changed the privacy of your profile page, visitors who don’t have access to your profile page will only be able to view your name, photo and basic information, like age, gender and location.
Network Creator and Administrators will still be able to view all member profile pages in full, regardless of privacy settings.
